ummm 4000km breaking is way to hard. oh and hte best way to break in an engine is to beat on it. don't try to argue my point, as you will be wrong!

i dont think that would help the fact the ****in cheap *** pulley broke.

i've even thought the cobalt ss was a pretty decent overall car, hearing crap like this reminds me its just a cavalier on steroids, just faster but breaks down just as much.

shagpower ur russian?

and no its not cavalier on steroids. it on new platform build by opel and gm...opel astra kinda looks the same except its a hatch.

Aaron might be right, cause theres a period of time for a new car you shouldnt rape it. otherwise even if it wont break it might perform worse in future

Yeah a break-in period has nothing to do with a supercharger pulley. If they can't even make a simple pulley, what makes you think they can make a reliable and long lasting engine?

Haha, what makes you think you're right? Because you read something on the internet?! Get outta here. I tell you what, rebuild your 7MGTE (probably not going to be an option soon), then go out and boost the out of your fresh engine and then tell us how its doing 50,000km later.

Or just ask mark who did that and his rings are toast.

Probably less tha 5000km on that engine.

jus throwing in my 2 cents,
gm cars = peices of ish
gm trucks = amazing quality, style and performance

had a 99 sierra ext short box, truck looked insane even stock, had sum *****
and for 230 thousand clicks when it was sold after 6 years had, brakes, oil changes, no tuneups after warrenty was up, and no suspension, motor, tranny or body work, n id still hop in it and drive as far as u dare me lol

but i would never touch a cavalier, grand am , sunflower or nething

The pulley breaking is Eaton's fault. Not GM's.

And how did a broken pully F*** your motor ? Doesn't the Ecotec use a seperate belt for the supercharger ? so if you broke your pulley it should have jsut let the belt come off and then you'd jsut be running around N/A ...
