a z6 would be easier in terms of swapping if you want to take the easier route. I hav a fresh z6 long block asking 200 firm. This is a jdm engine brought in less then 8 months ago and has only had 10,000kms since it has been here. The engine runs strong and has absolutly no issues. I think i would probably put the 98 motor in, but if your trying to make it as cheap as possible stay with the obd and go with a z6.

Just a stright long block... head and block with sensors attched. There is no manifolds, flywheel, coolant pipe, theromostat housing etc. I have another obd1 full motor sitting around i could take parts from if needed. The motor is in very good condition.
