hey guys i just wanna know if it's worth to turbo charge a d16z6 with 236k in it?

Z6s are cheap... go for it, even if the comp numbers are bad. If they're bad, what better way to spend the motor's last days anyways.

my buddy boosted his Z6 at 400k, it popped after a few hours but mainly due to mad clutch slip making it hit the limiter for little over 5 sec. so, as long as you dont drive like a complete retard, u should be ok

the good thing about boostin a single cam is when i blow parts are dirt cheap... so id say do it

itll be fine do a comp test as suggested... if that checks out invest a little money in a cometic head gasket and arp head studs....these will ensure no head lifting during boost which is usually what causes engine failure in boosted applications...

IMO a z6 with 250K.. i wouldn't even bother getting a HG or Headstuds if your stock HG is fine right now.

Just get a good tuner who knows what he is doing.

If you buy another motor than thats a diff. story. ARP h/s and cometic HG's are a good investment

change valve springs and retainers and make sure it has good compression!
