Difficulty of replacing an engine in an 01 Honda Civic?

I recently had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube (first time I have ever had someone else do it) and they didnt put the drain plug back in properly so after 120 miles the plug vibrated out, leaked oil and threw a rod. I am in the process of having a mechanic look at it since Jiffy Lube doesnt feel that I am qualified to determine whether or not they are at fault. Anyways my question is does any know how hard it is to replace the engine in an 01 Honda Civic LX Manual trans.

Putting in engine isn't something I would try on my own if that's what your thinking. From talking to engine installers it's about a $500 to $1000 job but really I would threaten to sue if Jiffy Lube doesn't do the right thing by replacing or fixing your engine. They will try anything to get out any liability.
