Do I have Vtech?

I was hoping someone could answer my question. I have 93 honda civic. I was told it is an SI but I dont know if it is. I was under the impression that all SI's have Vtech but on it does not say that vtech anywhere under the hood. I dont know if there is another way to tell. I just want to know if my car is an SI or not. The car is been modified and it does not say it anywhere.

Does ur car have an oem tach in the cluster that goes up to 9000 rpms?, also do u have a power sunroof and oem 4 wheel discs?, look at ur engine and are the sparkplugs on the upper or lower side of the valve cover? If you can, and know where 2 look, read the engine block and the 92-95 Si's came with D16Z6, see if u can read that on ur engine block

I don't think you will find a phone under your hood.
If you want to know wehter your car has VTEC then just look under the hood. All vtec engines say vtec on them.

no they dont.

look above the dizzy to the top passenger side of the valve cover.. you'll be looking for a beige looking cylinder with 2 (i think) wires coming from the bottom of it. There should be 2 or 3 bolts holding it in place too.

If that is there.. you have vtec without the H

I got the number from the engine block and looked it up. According to Honda, I have a B18C5... what I want to know is does that come with vtec or do I need to add that in as option?

That's great, thanks, but does this one in particular have VTEC? And if not, does anyone know a shop that can add VTEC to this motor? I only paid $1800 for the car, so I have some money for mods.

Omg, this guy is LUCKY. If what you say is true then in your $1800 car, you have a $4000 engine.
