Question got any ideas?

Hey whats up I have a question that i thought i'd throw out to anyone.

I have a 98 civic with an sir in it AND...

I'm driving my car the other day (normally) and when i shift into 4th and let go of the clutch its as if it is in neutral.
I downshift to 3rd same thing, 2nd same, 1st same. When i pull over and the car finally stops, i try to shift it into gear and its like i can do a 360 with my shifter in any gear. So if anyone has any ideas wtf is wrong with it pls let me know. I know its not the bolts underneath cuz i already checked. I have a feelin its the tranny or something in it but im not sure so any help u can give is appreciated.

Thanks

did you check the linkage all the way to were it connects to the tranny?? what about the bolt that connects the shifter to the linkage? i can't see it being the tranny either.
