honda have hard brakes?

everytime i try to press the brakes, its too hard. it even sits flat on the floor. but it stops the car. note that i dont own one, im planning to buy a used honda. but the only thing i dont like is how low and hard the brakes. i found it out when i went to this car dealer ( its not even a big car dealer, its just a family owned) everytime i see a honda i tested it out. and they have poor acceleration brake pedal is too low. is it really worth buying a honda ?

It sounds to me like you tested a car that had brake problems. If you have to push the pedal to the floor to get the brakes to stop the car, there might be air in the lines. Usually the brakes on Honda's are very responsive. As for poor acceleration, it depends on what you are used to. Honda's are not race cars. Some of them are pretty quick though. The V-6 Honda Accord has something like 240 HP, which is not too shabby for a family sedan. They also tend to make thier power high up in the RPM band, so if you need to hustle, you have to allow the engine to rev up over 3500 rpms.

I took a 88 Accord in on trade years ago. I only allowed the guy$250.00 for it, it was clean and had good tires. The air even worked. That was in 2000. The reason for the $250.00 trade-in allowance was because it had 239,000 miles on it. I used it to chase parts, as a loaner, for whatever or wherever cause it had so many miles. LastNovember, it showed 399,456 miles when my parts girl crashed it. I've got over 3 decades fixing cars, it is the first & only car I've ever seen go that far.You be the judge.
