It all depends on the rates the company you want to use charges. I had mine done on a 98 Toyota Cellica Gt Convertable and it was about $750 total. It took about 2 hours... but figgure around 3 to be safe. You can call around for estimates as well.

Go to several garages and get a quote .If it needs a new one make sure you get it done ASAP or you will pay an absolute fortune if it breaks or you could ruin your engine completely.

Need to know what kind of vehicle. You may be anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours, depending on the car or van. I would also replace the water pump at the same time, if it acts as a pulley for the timing belt and is therefore under the timing cover.
