3 inch AEM CAI. performance should be the only thing to look for an intake, not sound.

e-bay 10 bux, get a K&N filter and you are set. no reason to be paying 300 plus. there is not heat/oil/anything with a supremely special purpose, so it does not need to whitstand nuclear bombs.

Plus, alot of expensive CAI's are one piece, e bay's are 2 piece, they can go to short ram in a matter of minutes, other wise you have to be reaaaallly careful in rainy weather throughout the fall season and so on.

for the record, i would no suggest cheap e bay parts for any other application.

the only intake out there that is worth spending the money on is the AEM V2, this is the only intake that I have noticed has had more of a difference then a ebay one

yo man dont listen to these guys and waste ur money....you will soon find out if you do some research that an intake is the most basic part of modifying your car. Go to some flea market or ebay and buy the cheapest short ram intake if its sound you want. Or if your looking for performance gains with still a nice grow get the cold air but again its only an intake get the cheapest one you can find the AEM V2 is the biggest waste of money ever.....

don't turn a/c or fan on. 4th and 5th gears are your best friends.

vtec kicks in at about 5500 i think. you'll hear it when you get an intake. the car gets louder. if you wanna save gas, stay out of vtec.
