Here is the break down. To cut on cost and keep the power up go k20a2. If you have a little extra cash go to the k20z1 (04+ Type S) or the k20a from japan. If you have to keep the cost down and have to do the k, pm me and I have a k20a3 in my garage. I originally had it in and decided to upgrade. I now have a k20a2 turbo del sol. It will be at importfest this year. Now, that said k truly is the new B. The parts are expensive, so beware. As far as power is concerned unless you want more than 650whp turboed then don't bother with the frankenstein. If you want to go N/A frankie is the way. Recently I read on a k20/24 frankie that was putting down 320whp. As far as turbo goes a stock k20a2 can put down more than 550whp bone stock.

if youve got loot brah, 1st, do a k20/24 frank and if anything when they take the heads off build the motor a bit, either go n/a with sum crazy *** numbers 4**hp/3**tq or u can turbo that but then im pretty sure(unless its an all drag car with suitable tires for the job) u wont be gripping and losing time from slip.
and that all depends on ur driving wether u know how to hook or luanch properley...

I would stick with b series swap, b18c5 is still one of the premiere solid motors ever produced by Honda. And there is enough literature available about these swaps for you to research and figure out if its right for you. The K20/k24 swap is still new and I would be hesitant to drop a lot of money on something that really hasn't stood the test of time as of yet.

Just my 2 cents

Even B18 turbo, a K24/20 swap will run you close to 10G's wit internals or turbo inless you have mad hook-ups. If you put 5g's into a b18b it will be the same deal just no 6 speed

the limits to the Kseries have yet to be even close to being meet. Bseries engines are even though very good and cost effective are played out and everybody knows there limits. Cant go that far. Get a K and youll be surprised.
