I bought a used 97 civic in Oct. 2002 with 46,000 miles. I recently sold the car with 204,000 miles on it. It had ORIGINAL: shocks, alternator, timing belt (yeah, yeah i know but thats a whole other story), water pump, radiator, transmission (manual), A/C compressor, fuel pump,.. actually its easier to say what wasn't original. At 105K ,miles the fuel injectors went but were replaced for free under some federal emissions warranty. The clutch went at 186K miles. The CV joints had to be replaced twice. It once had a small leak where the axle half shafts meet the transmission. After that it literally was just oil changes (which I did faithfully at every 3,000 miles using synthetic) and tires. When the car was sold all the elecronics were still in perfect operation. All power windows worked well, the cruise control was right on, the A/C blows cold (never had a recharge either), all fan speeds work, ...I miss that car already! Please share your opinions/stories about the civic too!

I have an accord, 97 but, it was drowned in Katrina and it still works... Seriously, the AC was the only thing that couldnt be fixed but it has 150,000 miles, it was submerged in water and left in the heat for months and it still works, thats what I call quality.
