My car, is this normal or should I be concerned??

OK, so I drove the car for about 15min with the A/C on to a friend's house. We got on the freeway and drove for about twenty minutes to the grocery store with the A/C on. While I waited for her in the parking lot I let the car run with the A/C on. After ten minutes I noticed the temperature gauge rise from the 1/4 mark near the COLD line to the half mark near the HOT line. I got a little scared that the car was going to overheat but it didn't. The needle stopped at the Half mark and didn't go over that spot. This has never happend before and I always sit in the car with the A/C on. Is this normal? I checked my fans and they are both working. I tested it by turning on the A/C and I saw both fans come on. The link below will show a picture of a Honda Accord temperature gauge. It's just to give you an idea what I mean. The blue guage on the bottom far right you can see the temperature guage. Thanks much appreciated!!!My car is a 1998 Honda Accord.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...ayphotohosting

It sounds ok from my point of view. However, given the fact it's 10 y/o car now, a complete coolant flush and refill would be in order. Sometimes the valve that opens and closes to let coolant flow thru the radiator can get a build up of sedement and that too should be looked at. Also make sure the radiator has nothing blocking the air flow. But, overall I think you'll be ok for now. Sadly, in the winter, many people get overheated cars more so than in the summer because the coolant has been neglected. G'luck.
