hey when im idling my fan doesn't spin up and the temp slowly goes up. Any idea what's doing this??

I had the same problem. My coolant level was low so i just had to air out the coolant system. Try that.

hopefully it isn't your head gasket

try bleeding the air out of the cooling system if that doesn't solve your problem, look into the themostat, coolant temp switch or rad fan

yea you get hot b/c ur fan doesnt come on .
anywaz try bleeding(if no foam out of rad, dont bother its not that)...if not coolant temp switches theres a few u could check..alot of times the sensor on the rad fan it self is messed up.....then last thing i guess is your thermostat...cheers b
