Actually B&M makes one of the worst honda short shifters. The gears doin engage smothly and the throws arent smooth. plus i had one broken one be4. The best short throw is a skunk2 or OEM!!!

I have a B&M shifter works awsome really smooth.. if its not smooth I would say to check your bushings and your synchros..

if you are breaking shifters I would say that you as a person are having shifting problems there should be no reason to have to be that rough with it..

i agree.. how hard do you yank on the thing? it should go in with ease. I have one and its super smooth.. got a real good bushing kit too.

I have been auto X my car for the past 2 years with that shifter and so far I have had no troubles with it..
good build quality nice and heavy.. I like it cause its not a super duber short shifters that have no throw, I have nothing bad to say about mine..

B&M makes quality parts. Weather it breaks depends on alot of other things. All items wear out. Thats why when you buy a B&M shifter there is warranty. Plus there are shifters that reduce throw(Such as B&M) and then theres shifters that reduce throw, and side to side, like DieselGeek Short shifters.

Besides if your braking shifters, then you better slow down before something else breaks..LoL

See thats where our opinions differ. And if you guys do your research you'll see that b&m does make one of the worst honda short shifters. If you guys think short throw shifter makes ur car faster by all means buy one. Then check how many professionals use them.

short throws dont make much if any difference in the qt mile. you can shift just as fast with a stock one if you move your arm quick enough.. and buddy were not making fun of you so stop being so defensive, if your tranny is starting to go because you yank your car into gear thats your own fault

My experience is that they wear the tranny out much quicker.. say goodbye to third gear if you are someone who bangs gears all the time... I have learned my lesson with banging gears.. nothing good can come from it in the long run.. lol

thats true, the console is very low on a civic, and with the short shifter it becomes even further to reach.
