Vacuum line question

got a boost gauge and hooked the vacuum line into the line my BOV is on...now bov makes a different noise,(not normal) should i change where i Teed into? where do most guys hook boost gauges into in an eg hatch???

get back to me please!!

I like to keep Bov and waste gate vacuum lines shortest route possible. Essentialy you are making the vacuum take a longer route and it can be worse enough to cause compressor surge or the chances of more greater. Connect these vital lines the shortest way possible and T the boost gauge into a short vacuum line such as the dashpot or the FPR. If you want you can always just tap the manifold too.

I think if you take the T out of the bov you problem will be fixed.

tap the intake manifold and weld a nipple?? too much work ..where is the dashpot line located?? nota clue..thanks for all the help btw

ok, on top of the intake manifold you should see i think 3 vacuum hoses that are relatively short. One goes to the FPR on the fuel rail and one goes on basically the throttle body. Choose one of those short vacuum lines for the boost gauge, it doesn;t matter which one, but it anything i would use the fuel pressure regulator one last.

yep, everything is fixed...boost gauge works fine...ordered a turbonetics in car boost controller today, should be in tomorrow.. hope it works right
