What is the best setup to boost a 2000 civic si?
im new to upgrading and thinking about gettin a 2000civic si vtec very soon and wonderin what would be the best upgrades to really get my car flying.

NOS but then the car wont last as long. That's the cheapest and the best way to gain speed. A cold air intake along with a new high flow cat and muffler would suffice for some gain. You could turbo charge but that can get a little pricey. good luck!

im not to sure bout that either but i can let you know what my friend did to his car
he has a 1997 honda civic with a b16 vtec engine swapped into it and a swapped 5speed trans
and i guess with the vtec engines it gives the car a boost at a certine rpm and he baught a chip to make it kick in earlier instead of at the end of the gears like it was doing
and he got a stage 3 turbo kit for it and all the parts he needs for that
the turbo and the chip isnt installed yet But it will make his car ALOT faster and im sure the same would work for the civic si
try a turbo and maybe the chip or what ever it is to kick the vtec in earlier

Ya Greddy turbo kits are very simple. Plug and play. If your new to turbos and stuff, save yourself the headaches and get a greddy kit. Used preferably, they usualy go for a good price when used...

can't agree with the used part just cuz ive done it before in the past and sometimes finding all the little misc. parts that you dont get with the kit ends up giving you a big headache and can cost a lot too!
