What do i need to make my civic stick shift?
i have a 98 Honda Civic Ex automatic with 112k miles but i was just wondering what things do i need to convert it to stick shift. also about how much would it cost. they told me all i need is a transmission and a clutch but i dont really know about cars so please help!!!

They may be leaving out a few things. For one thing most automatics have a different flywheel from the standards. So one thing, then there are possibly mounting problems as the transmissions are different sizes, so mounts could be different. Then of course is the clutch mounting, making hole in firewall and a host of fun things, mostly small details, but important none the less. Next is shifter through the console although there should be an allowance for that. So more than just pulling out the old trans and putting in a different one.
