Honda Civic 4 door is great, plus you can get it as a hybrid. THats what I have, and at peak performance it can get about 45 mpg, mines from 2003. Acceleration isn't great but it's got great breaks. Idk what you can do to it racecar-wise :P

Even though I'm a BMW/VeeDub fanatic, I've always had a thing for the prelude and s2000. The Prelude makes a great track car and a daily driver. There's a guy nextdoor at work who has a souped up prelude, it's quick and he still gets like...23mpg ? And that's beatin' up on it. The s2000 is just an all around sick ride.

Prelude= Performance, Handling, Style, Class & Last Forever.

Civic Hatch= Light, Compact, Economic & Last Forever.

Integra= Very Sporty, Built great inside and out, Performance.

Civic Sedan= Economic & Dependable.

Your best bet for overall is the Integra 1994?2001. It has great handling, fast, great interior, economic & holds it's resell value pretty good. Second choice would be the Prelude.
