My 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid battery just died ?

My 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid battery just died ?

I read around that it's warrantied until 2012. Is This true? because the last thing I need is to pay around 4k-5k for a car battery that was supposedly suppose to last for the lifetime of the car itself.

a battery isn't 4-5K they are only about $60. Most batteries last about 5 years or so

you have to call the honda dealership for a more precise estimate both for the part and the labor to install it.































In a hybrid, the battery is not intended to last the life of the car. But i would have expected a gradual decrease rather than an abrupt failure. It may be another component/connection rather than the battery itself...
