Re: Price on 2004 Accord EX V6
I miss the Prelude, Integra type R and Acura CL coupe S type too. You can
only buy what Honda now sells.( Wish I could afford a NSX or that the S2000
had a rear seat and useable trunk size ) For a thousand or two more than the
price of a 2004 Acura TL you could buy a Infiniti G35 Coupe 6 speed with
280HP, rear wheel drive and a top speed of around 155 mph.
I just decided I could make do with a less horsepower, less speed and could
better use the 9 or 10 thousand dollars I'd be saving.
You really do need to hear the exhaust note from the latest generation
Accord Coupe V6 6speed. It has a nice exhaust growl in contrast to a run of
the mill Accord auto V6 .
It is not as agile as any of the previously mentioned cars or even as nimble
as the 1998 Accord Coupe 4cyl 2.3 VTEC 5 speed I once owned.
But for the buck it's a decent, quick, fun to drive ride. I'm just
beginning to open it up and today I was rewarded by a pleasant tire chirp
when I popped the clutch in second. Auto magazine articles say that it
should run near mid 14 second quarter miles and I'm guessing top speed is in
the 130 to 135 MPH range.
The downside to the latest version of Accords is the awful design of the
a/c heater controls. And also the build quality isn't on par with Acura or
maybe even on par with the quality of the late 80's early 90's Honda's.

You do have a good point however about the 4's. The 3L V6 is so
quiet, which isn't necessarily bad but I wouldn't mind a little more
audible feedback.
I told myself I wasn't buying a 4 cyl. I just like the generally
higher torque characteristics of 6's over 4's. I have already bought
the Accord, not quite a week ago. I'd say it's not quite luxury, but
it does have leather heated seats, moonroof, traction control, 6
speaker 180W 6 disc in dash CD and XM radio, dual zone climate
control, 17" wheels......and Acura doesn't offer a 2 door I believe.
This seemed like the right way to go.

Get the Nav system and the controls are voice activated.

Re: Price on 2004 Accord EX V6
I just got a 2004 Accord 2dr EX-L MT with a dealer installed spoiler,
Fogs, gold kit.....for $ 22,932 not including tax....without the extras
I could have gotten the same car for $21,800.....not including tax....I
traded in my 2001 Accord EX-L V6 and was thinking about getting the new
6 cyl....after driving the 4cyl I decided that the car had more then
enough power for me and after doing some more research I found out that
the new 4cyl. engine is 0.1 sec. quicker to 60mph then the 01 V6
engine.....This is a very nice car...and for the money I don't think
that there is a better value out there.
