Is it okay to use regular gas on a 2001 honda prelude?

because the speedometer says premium, i mean am i damaging my engine or wats going on becasue it is a base h22 engine, some one let me know as soon as possible thanks

I would use recommended octane.

Don't do it. The H22A runs like *** on regular. Pay the extra dollar or so per tank to put in 91 (or 93 if it's available in your state).































A lot of the engines on import cars are made to run on higher gas than is available in the US; the VR6 in VW's is intended for a minimum 95 for example, so no matter what you're already putting in worse gas than it was made for.
