Block drain plugs on 2.7l V-6
Is there any problem with removing the 2 block drain
plugs on the 2.7l V-6 engine when doing a coolant
change? On other engines, it's usually a faster
method than just draining the radiator alone. Is it
necessary to remove both plugs for a complete
drain? (The one on the front side is in a hard to
reach spot above the starter, which may also
get soaked when draining.)
The plugs seem to have blue RTV on the threads.
Is this the preferred sealant when putting things
back together?
