Temp gauge read high, 96 Accent
I have a huyndai Accent 1996, the temp gauge read high all the time, noting
wrong with my cooling system, antifreez is full. When I start when motor is
cold like over night the needle goes midway, then when I drive for a few
miles goes all the way. What is going on?

Re: Temp gauge read high, 96 Accent
You'll need to check your coolant temperature sender and gauge for
accuracy.
A quick check is that when the sensor is unplugged the gauge should go to
full cold, and when plugged in, it should go to full hot. If it doesn't
do that, then you're looking at a wiring or gauge problem. If it does
that, then you probably have a sender problem.

Re: Temp gauge read high, 96 Accent
When the motor has a chance to cool down, I say being out all night at 24,
sould do that. When I start in motor the needle jumps midway, like i been
driving it, never mind the motor is ice cold, then when I drive and let the
motor heat, needle jumps all the way to hot, until I turn the motor off
