Damn strait! going fast is sweet, but if you can't handle the corners then whats the use.

oh, and in response to " and i dont wanna hear about how youre a honda tech and bla blah blah. working at the dealership driving the cars in and out of the lot and doing the occasional oil change and tire rotation doesnt make you a tech."
When did I ever bring my occupation into this, and whats with disin' where I work, you don't even know what I do at Honda, and if I only did the occational oil change and rotation my name would be Honda Lube guy, But its Honda Tech.
Why don't you grow up and find something else to do other than bash on people who don't see thing the way you do, you think your right and where wrong for seeing things differently. your starting arguements about intakes and weights of cars (in other threads). you know what thats called, immaturity.

you have got to be kidding me, look what you in said to me..
"and to "stealthZ", I know about intakes, but if you know then you would know that it doesn't matter what intake you have unless you have a cold air, its the only one that really adds anything to your car, or are you one of those guys that thinks you can get 10 or more HP just from an intake."
if you can dish it, learn to take it and stop crying.

"I'm pretty sure people who get cai dont do it for street cred its done for better performance than short rams...

If your just angry they don't make good intakes for your car try to make your own or talk to someone who know's how."

yeah, I'm crying, thats it, knob, I was saying that I'm done bickering about pety bullshit like intakes, and all you do is bash other people and their opinions, like where did I bring in Jobs and where I work, you had nothing else so you bashed on where I work and said that I'm not a mechanic, that was completely off topic and you just wanted to bash on me more. and you told me I couldn't take opinions. you really do need to grow up! :wt:

actually hes an apprentice at Cobourg Honda, which is probly more impressive of an occupation than you have

3aXap 02-11-2006 04:09 PM

holy can you people stop the shitting for once. Talk about cars.

I was surprised that an 89 legend can beat an si... maybe he was a bad stick driver. also what engine does the legend has? 3.0 v6 ? how much hp

civtegra90 02-12-2006 03:01 AM

his legend has a 2.7l v6 at round 160hp, the guy in the civic is a fairly decent driver

3aXap 02-12-2006 02:27 PM

wow. interesting. I would think that civic has a much better chance but i guess not

you thought wrong. the si are heaps, but no one seems to realize that they have no power whatsoever (not like the top of the line has any either, but ill save that for another thread).

B6T 02-13-2006 11:11 AM

^ Have you actually driven a Civic Si?

SuprAdam 02-13-2006 11:22 AM

Everyone shutup, for once cavy is correct. There will be next to no difference between your standard off the shelf open filter short ram intake and cold air intake. The only way to make one of the other more efficient is having a properly designed airbox to enclose the filter. But really, an intake filter won't do much of anything on an N/A engine...It will vastly improve engine performance on a FI engine setup though, refer to sig pic below!
