Wagon's were SW's, sedans SL's and coupe SC's. 1 or 2 in any of the names stands for SOHC and DOHC, respectively. Mine's an SW2.

The important thing is that it have the DOHC engine, and a manual (preferably one that was paired with a DOHC originally, shorter gear ratios than a SOHC paired manual). Rare to see a wagon with a DOHC/5sp; mine's an auto->manual conversion.

Otherwise, all I have is an intake, bored TB, good tires, and a little bit of experience launching it, which makes all the difference :)

PonyRyd, his car is high 16's at best, my wagon's not in the same shape as it was last year. I only raced him a second time because he did a ricer blowby and put on his 4 ways acting like he won.

Mike, NA for NA you and me would be a pretty cool race actually, you got the power, but don't have the tire for it with those Proxes 4's that you had last year ;)
I dont wanna get addicted to the bottle, that's probably why I've never sprayed anything yet :P

Uch, it's got some potential, but my wallet doesnt haha. I just wanna crack the 14's this year and do some roadcourse and autocrossing. Have some fun with the thing :)
And launching in 2nd should keep your wheelspin down ;)

haha yeah right man, 15 psi eats my rs2's through third gear and theyre a 225 wide tire, imagine what 20 pound will do. launching in second will only add to the wheel spin, lol

those DOHC's are rated 125 HP ... hitting 15.5 is pretty good!!

judgez24 04-16-2007 05:15 PM

yeah its a qiuck little car for what it is. he uses it to turn more than to drag but with my help i can help him hit 14's or better ;)

The thing with saturns, is because they bodys are plastic, they're light. The average saturn is only 2450lbs.

Uch, stay out of the boost, im sure you could handle a 2nd gear launch nicely with a little bit of clutch slippage :)

judgez24 04-17-2007 12:39 AM

hah naw man my clutch is too grabby for that . my best bet is a first gear launch with the boost controller turned off and then once i hit third gear reactivate it and hope for the best, lol.

trust me, launching my car is a little bit trickier than launching your car, lol

Haha, as I recall, last time we both ran 15's :la:

judgez24 04-17-2007 09:29 AM

yeah because i i just coasted after a terrible launch, i did put what, 10 mph on your run shifting low and slow, lol

Viperoni 04-17-2007 11:56 PM

something like that :P

Oh don't worry if it keeps up with this crap I'll delete my own account.

We are talking about a Saturn wagon versus a Grand Am? And worst of all the Saturn has "mods" and is a rare DOHC 5spd.

Again pretty sad when you post up these lame stories, other forums prolly find it entertaining though.:smilie_d0

Saturn wagon versus a Grand Am posts = :smilie_d0

judgez24: What mods do you have done?
