everyone likes to pop off at the mouth, some peoples all they can do is pop off, he had street tires on and was lauching at like 4gs because it would hook, if he had a slick, it will go mid 13s, yeah he has no torque eh, what the hell do u know about torque, u had a b16, ooooo, we're all impressed with the 116lbs of torque those things make. if your cars so fast, why don't u meet him at the track and put some money where your mouth is

my car weighs 1455kgs(says right on the door) = 3201lbs. with me in it. another 175. so 3376lbs all together! my car has intake/exhaust. lol
the coupe is a 1993 dx.

it's not even at all a built b20vtec. everything is stock! lol
so 14.3 to me.. is pretty good. i raced an jdm h22a eghb with i/e. and all i had was my intake at the time with stock dx exhaust. and he beat me by a car. and his car is a 92. 1400kgs it says on his door. 3080lbs plus 150, my friend weighs lets say,. 3230lbs..

Buddy your mistaken on how much your vehicle weighs...Your car a dx EG HB weighs i think 2150 - 2200 LBS...with you in it lets make it 2400 lbs

My EG with me in it weighed 2100 lbs and i was almost 200 lbs then...

Yea my b16b was a rare find and crazy motor

I blew a piston ring spraying the stock bottom end and did a full rediculous rebuild on it that made 214 whp 168 wtq Stroked to 1.9L 12.5:1 compression forged everything...Eagle h Beams ARP every bolt...Crazy head work JUN cams alot of other also but like that on street tires my best was a horrible 13.28 @ just under 108 mph should go 12.7's ish with more track appearances...

Then on an NX 100 shot single nozzle Almost 320 WHP

My personal best 12.43 @ 117mph Toyo Proxes

Guy who bought it from me went 11.7x's@118 mph and i think best was like 11.64@117 Slicks

That car was great but the cop hassles with it werent...i know how to build my hondas but not again the benefits dont outweigh the problems

buddy... i dont know what to tell you man.. it says right beside my vin. my gvwr & gawr. 1455kgs. on my friends 92 eg hb. his says 1400kgs. so if u convert that.. 1455kgs x 2.2 .. and 1400 x 2.2 so i dont know where 2200lbs is coming from.. i'm not saying your wrong. i'm saying i just looked at my door where my vin is and thats what it says! lol

79camaro 07-29-2006 02:32 PM

i think that states carrying weight...like weight that can be put in the vehicle n the vehicle can still function properly...its not gross vehicle weight

jdm_187 07-29-2006 03:28 PM

weight

yeah, 79 camero is right, dx hatches weight is usually 2080-2280 depending on what model

alphaq69 07-29-2006 03:38 PM

i have no idea... i was looking around on the net.. and they said it was around there.. so i'll believe it. :dunno:

any taker's????

i got a fully built jdm gsr motor, head with stainless steel valves, titimum valve spring and retainers, ported head, 5 angle vavle job, skunk 2 intake manifold, dizzy, skunk2 stage 2 cams, exedy stage 2 clutch, shafts, links, p28 chipped, wiring, jdm type r tranny with lsd, tranny has 40kms, head 15kms, block 70km(block is stock) this comes with everything you need to put in your car, motor, mounts, etc. brampton, $6000obo

I figure with this setup you might yield a 180 ish WHP if your lucky and believe me be prepared for people here to take your money from you...

What chip you running Spoon Racing Clone Chip? lil more few advanced timing, up the rev limiter, earlier vtec engage....OOOOOOOOOHHHH NO! watch out now!

UBERDATA OR HONDATA is the way to go....im a big fan of UBERDATA for lightly modified and user friendly software...

jdm_187 07-29-2006 07:34 PM

buddy

your set up, only had 214 to the wheels, gino had (221) and a green hatch that went to spiltfire had 236, gino went 12.20, and the other guy went 11.80, with 2.0L so how did this guy do it with less jam, i had pretty much 95% the stuff as them so im pretty sure i would of had more than a 180 whp, that like a type r with intake and exhaust.

79camaro 07-29-2006 08:12 PM

^^^^^
The set up stated above is gonna put out My b16b Numbers...Son who are you kidding...

79camaro 07-29-2006 08:23 PM

Gino and splitfire...your idea of a street tire is BFG Drag radials...sorry cheater slicks...TOYO PROXES are street tires

And ill be honest i didnt run well with my car at the track i didnt make enough track appearances to perfect what it should run...214 WHP NATURALLY ASPIRATED FROM 1.9L thats no easy accomplishment and still be streetable...almost daily driven with drivetrain loss at the crank thats rounghly 260 HP outta 1.9L then on top of that i had a single nozzle 100 shot NX almost 320 WHP HP again single power adder 1.9L street car driven there driven home
All together i made 5 trips to Cayuga with the car...
twice stock internal b16b bolt ons
2 times on the built motor once lil after break in...
Last time Fully built tuned ready to go shot and all...I made a good pass 12.5@119 mph that was burning thru 3rd and with an almost 1 second RT my best like i said was 12.43@117 mph
My car on the same setup new owner went 11's consistantly...MORE TRACK TIME MORE CAR ADAPTIVITY used to track and conditions and adjusting vehicle to it...

jdm_187 07-29-2006 11:02 PM

...

ok, on spray i believe it would do those things no problem.

civtegra90 07-31-2006 12:40 AM

the weight listed in the door is the vehicles weight plus occupancy weight. it will say in your owners manual what your GVWR and carrying weights are, then subtract the carrying weight from the GVWR, multiply by 2.2 and theres your vehicle weight in pounds. no civic could ever weigh over 3000 lbs stock and still move with stock motor, lol

v8mike 08-01-2006 12:04 PM

Gross vehicle weight and curb weight are two different things. You should be looking up curb weight on the net - and as many ppl have already stated, its around 2100 lbs.
