why do some people feel that it's an absolute necessity for them to display their ignorance and immaturity with posts like the one above, especially when this thread has been dead for some time now. Why would you waste your time, rummage through an old post, just to offer an irrational and useless comment?

funny
Hahaha! LMAO, tried reading the post as well and didn't get much success. nonetheless congradulations and I hope its a gt/gti because the 1.3 sohc swifts are barely good for grass cutting and sewing. They're addictive little cars and i have never met anyone that owned one that didn't love em.

new 1/4 mile time
For anyone that read this thread up to now, I would like to make an update. My little box of a swift just did a 14.84 @ 93.89 mph today at cayuga. Remember this time is with a Naturally Aspirated 1.3l dohc motor (produced in the 80's) on a street tire! The car has the same setup as when i ran that type r on the highway.

If your running those kinds of time I would belive you beat a type r. A car praised by todays youths you would almost think it runs 12s Ive seen them at the track pulling mid 15s. Good job , your in the 14s thats almost nsx territory

feedback
thanks for the positive feedback. Ya its a little difficult to get a N/A swift to run sub 15 quartermile times. There is a little more in it with those trap speeds. maybe a tenth or two. And with a slick im sure i can shave off at least a half second.

how do you get ur swift to hook up with street tires (assuming it does at all) my swift just fried off the tires no matter how i launched, i was always playing catch-up. and how is your tranny holding up, mine didnt approve of powershifting to 2nd and eventually blew up, spewing fluid all over my centerforce.
