Although this is true, I know that the Evo2 is legal, and there are a few in ontario, one Evo8 is used for rallying, have only seen it once!! Im dying to get my hands on the drivetrain or more!

I know you guys will hate me for this, but the Evo really bores me anymore.

I lived in Chicago for a while (land of AMS and their 1000hp Evo 8) and I saw them all the time. I could spank them consistently with my FC RX7 (LS1 swap) and while they're good at handling, you mess up one part modifying the suspension system and it goes to . Since they're a cheap performance car, they're not good to buy used. Transfer cases and clutches aren't cheap.

There is also a couple of New Yorkers with EVO VIII and IX's registered and Plated in NY and driven up here.

The EVO X is a beautiful car, but I am not holding my breath on it showing up in Canada any more. We were told Jan 07, then Sept 07, then Dec 07 then Feb 08, so until I see something in writing from Mitsubishi Canada saying the Evo is a go, and they are allowing dealers to take pre-orders on them (be careful of this right now) I will not put a penny down on a new Evo X.
Since when did the Evo 8 and 9's make the banned list. They were legal to import July 3, 2008. I bought mine on the 4th and had it in Canada legally 72 hrs later. Had it up to CAN specs 2 weeks later.

Prob the first Evo 8 in Ont legally. 2003 with 10K original miles. Mint!
