I just rode 2260 miles in 6 days with my laptop in the saddlebag. using it right now. Didn't hurt it a bit as far as I can tell

2 factors, what kind of bike, and what kind of laptoppif the bike is smooth, and the laptop is a reputable brand, you should be golden... good luck
