We cant even ask him to sign a waiver releasing his life.
We all know that if then something happens everyone will be fighting for this guy to live even though he opted out for head protection.
"road was slippery, not his fault, we cant let him die"
"a car hit him, not his fault...."
"light turned red to fast, not his fault..."
I think the best resolution in this instance is force him to wear a helmet. That's it.

im gonna sign a waiver saying i can drive as fast as i want. its essentially on the same basis as this.
but a very good point has been braught up, that maybe should be adressed to the media, if this guy has gotten a bike license, how did he do so if he cant remove his turban? clearly he had to have removed it to get his license as they follow you around town when you do the test, and im sure its the same there as here, but they set you up with a radio to communicate back and forth with the isntructor, so either he just bought a license, took the test with a turban, or wore a helmet. and i bet its the first.

Kennewick Man - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scientific significance
The remains of the Kennewick Man.The remains were first examined in situ by anthropologist James Chatters. After ten separate visits, Chatters was able to collect three hundred and fifty pieces of bone as well as the skull, which completed almost a full skeleton.[4] The cranium was fully intact except for two teeth. All of the major bones were found although in several pieces.[5] At the University of California at Riverside, a small piece of bone was subjected to radiocarbon dating. Unexpected test results showed that the remains were approximately 9,300 years old, rather than from the nineteenth century, as had originally been assumed.[4] After collecting all the bone pieces, Chatters concluded the subject was a Caucasoid male about 68 inches (173 cm) tall who died in his mid fifties.[4]

He was ticketed in 2005 for not wearing a motorcycle helmet as he cruised the streets near his Brampton home.
"I was riding for three or four weeks. They caught me one day and gave me a ticket," said Badesha, outside of the courtroom. "I haven't ridden since."
Well if its ok for this guy to wear a turban instead of a helmet cuz of his beliefs, then does that mean that Irish/Scottish/Russian ppl should be allowed to drink and drive ???
Other faiths believe that GOD decides when you will die regardless of what you do - they wont accept medical help at all for the devout - so should they then be allowed to take any risk they want (no seatbelts, drive how they want) cuz their death/life is GOD's will???
And why does discrimination only apply to minorities or religion??? What about those who are new age spiritualists - can they do what they want cuz of their new found beliefs????
+++ I dont know Shikh faith at all , but Im sure their tenents say nothing about riding a motor bike. So what if a few places on the planet allow turban wearing instead of approved helmets, 90% + of the rest of the world dont - so who is right?
If this turban gets DOT approved - then ok, I cant argue much, but what about those not as smart as this guy - the ones who wont tie them on tight enough, what then? Maybe there should be DOT approved turbans and if yer caught with one not DOT approved - then you get a tix, no excuses.

Once again people are mixing religion and the laws of the country. Being born in Canada and coming from a different religious background (non Christian) we learn to adapt and work around certain aspects of our religion to accomodate the laws of this country we call home. . Canada. It is quite obvious that Canada is extremely lax or maybe a better way of saying it is that Canada is very aware of other religions and has done more then it really needs to in order to accomodate the various number of people and there religions that make Canada there home. You would think people can identify between religion and safety, but this is not the case. You have decided to make Canada your home, then you should be more then willing to follow the laws of the country. If you are not able to follow the laws of Canada then you should go back to your country where your religious practices are used to create laws. A similar issue was made in Australia where a Sikh gentlemen refused to remove his Turban for his license photo. The Prime Minister of the country stated that this was his country, the religious views of others in his country were not to be discussed. If you don't like Australia for its laws and religious views, then you are more then welcome to leave.
Living in Canada we all know that every religion is given an equal consideration when an issue is brought up. Its unfortunate that some people see religion as more sacred then there own personal safety. Goodluck to the sikh gentlemen trying to dispute this traffic law. What's frightening is that he'll probubly win.
