Know anything about 95-99 Maximas?

Whats the word on these cars? I know they are available with a 5-speed, but I heard they came with an LSD as well... is this true? Are there any problems with these cars? What's the fuel economy like? Are they fast?

I'm probably getting another car soon to replace my 1998 Contour and I want something similar to that car, except with a 5 speed and a V6. Can you guys think of any cars like that? Thanks.

maxima is a great choice..many aftermarket parts for it...
190 hp stock...0-60 on the 5-speed is said to be 6.7 seconds...plus you get the luxary interior
fuel economy isn't bad..as for LSD i belive it came with LSD in 99 only...and on the infiniti version of the car...known problems would be..with the 99 there is a problem with the coil packs going bad..yet no one really knows why except they changed the company who built them..not a huge problem..but avoidable with purchasing the earlier models..but overall one of the most reliable cars you can get..the engine is great! an dth ecar looks great aswell

I believe the lsd is available on all years actually. Look on or near the door there will be a sticker with basic info and will include the engine code as well as the trans code. if it ends with V then you have lsd. Look more spcifically at the SE's though if your looking for the lsd

4th Gen Maxima's are the fastest of them all due to it's light weight and smaller wheels than the later ones. Got to www.maxima.org and there's a fairly good review of which gen of Maxima is the fastest right out of the box...

They are very good choices, 4th gen are best for the buck ( they go between 9k and 4k), they are actually pretty fast since they are very light. 5th gen is a bit more heavy
