The GT's also have the 3.4... Trust me. The SE's come with (or can opt to get, i'm not sure) the 3400 V6. The SE has 170 hp and the GT has 175.

And that 5 extra hp out of the GT makes no freakin difference whatsoever! if it wasnt for the GT's stiffer suspension u could buy a SE with an aftermarket open cone air intake and have the same hp as the GT lol what a joke.

The GT's have a little more torque, and most importantly a different final drive ratio and computer. You can get both the GT and SE with the 3400. check out www.rsmracing.com They do all gm stuff. They are in mississauga.

LOL okay so my plans got a wee screwed in the past few months. the sunchicken was going tobe my daily driver and i wanted to get an LS1 for summer but after my rents cancelled my insurance under there name and now having to put it under my name the freakin LS1 is rediculous price to insure w/the sunfire also under my name!!!its killing me!(plus also with me moving out funds dont seem tobe as flowing as they used tobe either...I havent spent a CENT of the money i got from my Stealth yet)

its especially sad when i could of purchased a 1999 Corvette all black with only 90K on it from my buddies dad for a damn good price. that REALLY pissed me off

So i plan on driving the Grand Am till i purchase a more practical all year round sports car and ill probably have it sitting in the garage till spring and then sell the GA for a few grand.

So hopefully works out this time. I now have to wait till im 24 when insurance rates drop before buying anything high performance which is only 2 years away.

Check out what the dude above me posted. I know most of the people there. Read the forums and just check it out. If you are looking to mod the Grand Am, its not worth it. There are not many products out for the 3400. However for the 3800... he he

PSSSSSSHT

400 hp easy on 8-9 psi

Enjoy and preform the regular maintenance man!

O got a 99 Grand Prix SE and its pushin 200,000, it runs awesome except it needs a tune up, its got the 3.1l in it and everythings been replaced on the driving end of the car like the brakes, rotors, bearing, struts...thats all a car with a lot of mileage needs to run a lot longer, and to be taken care of too!

I swear to got that GM and build their cars so all the parts break on them just so they can get more money when people replace them, after you do that you'll never have another problem the rest of that cars life!

Anywyas thats it from me...

Peace!

i got a 2000 grand am white with black tint and decent rims with no spoiler, trust me with it only doing 95,000kms its good for an american car, but gas is gonna kill you because of the v6 engine, but you get about 400km on a tank which is still not bad. Mods are another thing, if you plan on doing anything on the exterior, get them made and dont purchase from perfomance shops because they will definately be more expensive. But, good luck with your car and do regular maintenace and you should be fine.

drifter420 will become famous soon enough
400KM to a tank??

14.3 Gallon tank
- Need to get that looked at, and or unless heavy footed, and or all city driving and or heavily modded.

My Pig of a tank Bonneville has 16 gallons. Gets 700KM in summer 600-650km with winter gas ( before the dinger says.. Hey BI@TCH !! FILL ME UP !!! 1/8th tank).. normal driving 50% city driving, the other 50% is in 80 Zone straight up Markham road pass stoufville.
