Post Best car to get...

Hey, im looking for a 4 door ( no sport models ) that will have the best stock torque no turbo or supercharge either it has to be a "insurance friendly car." im well aware its not looking well so far i have been looking at a diesel jetta. also i was hoping to find a car with some engine space i will be adding my own turbo to the car and what not. any ideas?

* didn't know exactly where to post this didnt really have a section so i just put it here car care...?, feel free to move it

SlvrTarantula has a little shameless behaviour in the past
A Volvo s70

The T5 (Turbo) models are still very affordable on insurance. I pay less for my T5 then I do for my Mitsubishi non-turbo.

Why dont you just stick with a normal 1.8T A4. Is one of the the best all-round cars and you can easily upgrade them. Adding a turbo to a non-turbo car can start causing lots of problems. On the 1.8T A4 you can even change the turbo in less than 2h in your own garage.

E36 or E46 3 series, older gen IS300 (my pick), older gen G35s, of course, all depends on your budget too...

i agree though, A4 is the best starting platform, but since you don't want a turbo, E46 328 shouldn't break the bank by now

A4's are nice cars, but if you're going to look maintenance, insurance and live with a power adder, you could consider an srt 4 as well.

lol An SRT-4 isn't exactly a regular Neon, its actually a credible car. And you said you were looking at a Jetta, but wanted something cheap to repair? Well unfortunately V-dubs aren't cheap to fix. I've owned two and it sucks, but obviously if you can find aftermarket it'll cushion the blow a bit
