Fall Cruise 10/21 Headcount

I don't really use the vid function much, so the reasults were not great. I have not posted the vids anyplace, not really much to look at. Some people have goten the vids, but have not posted them, and I don't know places that could host them (or how to do it).
However, the vids people took of the F-Body BBQ in Waupun are posted, a bunch of the burnout contest. That's mentioned and linked in the BBQ thread at firehawk.org mesage board under the Events forum.
There wer too many distractions and firestorm mishap problems for me to get many pics. I wasn't even shceduled to help out on the Cruise, just be a participant and enjoy the F-Bods and drivers, but circumstances required a helper, and we were actually kinda rushed for the rest of the day, compressing our time/schedule, as well as the magnum/GTO drivers were a royal pain, fully unplanned and uncooperative and disruptive. Since it was a fairly new route, with different segments, probably nobody knew about it, but next Spring should be a more relaxing pace, and more organized, plus most of the route should be the same so most drivers will be familiar with it. Hopefully the Gbody/Ybody/magnum/Wbody party crashers will stay home next time.

90% chance i'm gonna be bringing the T/A down for the cruise..Ron talked me into it during the firehawk BBQ...made it sound like theres nothing more fun than this, so I'm gonna try it once! Hopefully the weather holds up, and my car gets out of the shop in time, otherwise i'll be bringing my 'hawk down. Either way, I can almost guarantee that if the weather is halfways decent i'll be there

Are there any meet up spots for cruising down to the actual meet up spot in IL?? I'll be in whitewater that weekend, so if theres any places in that area that you guys meet up, I'd love to know when and where!

Jesse, probably not in Whitewater. there will be a meeting spot in Janesville (I-90 & Hwy 26 at THE COW), and others coming from Chicago area and southern areas. Last few years no caravans from Milwaukee area, but maybe this year some from Kenosha or Milwaukee will fly by on I-43.
Chadwick, got them edited for size, I'll get with you about hosting them. Let me know if you want them emailed to you, or what?

Further info for cruise participants.
The water at the parks will likely be shut off for the winter, so a jug of watrer and paper towels in your car may be handy.
The FRS radios are highly recommended, and Motorolas seem to have the best range, about $15-20 at walmart, target, bestbuy, etc.
For those who prefer not to pack a picnic lunch for the Park Lunch break, and are fast eaters, a couple of eateries in nearby Lena, IL can produce food (around 11:30): Subway inside Mobil, ph# 815-369-9073 (and the Mobil has those picadilly circus pizzas, you can probably pre-order some), Lena Drive-In, ph# 815-369-4317, and Mama Lenas Pizzeria & Restaurant ph# 815-369-4900.
Other stops:
Co-op Petro Mart & Deli in Argyle (has 93 octane gas), ph# 608-543-3071
Looks like there is an open invitation for and after-cruise party and sleepover:

THE COW is at the Oasis restaurant, Road Ranger Citgo, just south of Ramada Inn at the first traffic light on Hwy 26 south of I-90. For northbound I-90 traffic at this point, might need to take north Hwy 26 Exit, then to a turnaround by the Phillips66 gas station (traffic light there, so don't do U-turn at the light). For mapquest directions use 3431 Milton Ave, Janesville, WI

If you're coming from Whitewater, just take Hwy 26 into Janesville. After you pass under I90, it'll be the 1st gas station on the right. The cow is kinda hidden by trees, but when you pull into the gas station you'll see it. We leave at 7am, so you'll want to be there at about 6:45.
