I haven't heard back from them since Jan. and after all my phone calls and emails going unanswered I finally left them a nastly message just going off. I don't know if this person cares if I use their name but someone on here was able to find out that they are up for sale to the Indians basicly and that's why they were dragging their feet. So I mentioned that in my message that I know what's going on and understand but would have considered at least a heads up.
Well I leave that message last night and I get home from work and suprise. I get a message.
I have answered EVERY question they have asked the day they asked it so as I read through this email I got I hear blah, blah, blah, excuse, excuse, blah, blah, blah. If they don't want my money that's fine. At this point even if they let us use it I won't be. I don't want people like this to have my money.

Chad,

I apologize for the delay. I haven't meant to give you
a cold shoulder or to ignore you.

What has been happening is I need an OK on a quote
from our GM and I haven't been able to get that yet.
To further complicate matters, I spent a couple of
days in the hospital last week (unexpected but a false
alarm). When I got back to work the GM was sick and
then yesterday morning the GM broke an ankle on the
ice while inspecting the track.

As far as being sold, there are plans to convert our
facility to a casino along with keeping the greyhound
races, however, that is still waiting for an approval
in DC and could take a considerable amount of time. We
would honor any commitments made in the meantime. For
more information on this you can check the link on our
website.

I know none of this is your problem and that you need
to be able to plan for your car show. I will talk to
the acting GM today and see if I can make some
progress on this for you.

Once again I apologize for this dragging out the way
it has and will do what ever I can to get you an
answer as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Lynn Perry
Group Sales Manager

Are there County Parks around? Have you considered them?
Although not in your backyard, the area around Lake Geneva seems like it would have a bunch of parks, and that might seem like a decent excursion for Chicago folks, as well as Milwaukee and Janesville/Rockford drivers.
How about large car dealers? They often hold carshows anyhow, and maybe a more rural one, or even Kenosha one might be interested - the Pallman group owner is a younger guy. They often move all their cars out of a lot for eevents like this.
Turckers are muscle fans, and they have large lots, but I can't figure how to find a big trucker lot to use.

I've talked to all the local park officals and there's nothing here that'll work.
I've actually thought about the car dealerships but the ones here in Kenosha by no means will have enough free space. Palmen has had car show's in the past but it was for like 20 cars or so.
I never thought of the truck stop idea, they would probably be the best people to talk to. They're all American guys that would love to see burnouts and such. I'll look into that.

I don't recall what Alpine Valley's lot is like. Have you considered that?
Trying to think of places that use their lots mostly on nights or weekdays, I'm wondering about drive-in theaters? winter fun places like ski hills? nightclubs with large lots? bowling alleys? or any huge shopping malls with under-useed parking around there?
Have you looked into commercial real estate agents? if some large retail busuiness vacated their old building, they might rent out the l;ot for a day (since nobody else is renting it)?
Ahem. Schools are not usually in session in July, nor on Saturdays. high school football games are not usuaslly played on Sat in July, nor for that matter pro football/arena football - any around there? I think I heard of one car show at the Miller Stadium lot- only used like a quarter of the lot - any other pro sprts stadiums around there?

Isn't Alpine in East Troy? That would make for a very long drive for the Chicago people.

well chad, you know where the bristol renn faire is?, i work there in the summers and i seem to remeber a large truck stop right by the russel rd exit off of 94., just west of 94
i just looked on google maps and u can get a satellite view of it, it looks liek it would be great and im sure some truckers wouldnt mind some burnouts, and if they do we oculd drive down the road and do them there

Hey chad what about the Keno Drive in theater? You check with them? I know they dont get any business during the day so they might be willing to make some money and let you rent it out.
