haha I just got one. 450 bucks. Supercharged jdm swap. Fun as hell. I'm going to use it as my winter beater. It'll be just under 1k road legal and fixed bodywork.

They aren't high maintenance once you get everything sorted out. You have to remember that the very newest MK1 is a 1989 so it's an 18 year old car. With any car that old, there is bound to be some stuff that you have to attend to.
