Update.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...15_2005002.jpg Turbo is not seated correctly to the manifold, I need to have a spacer made as the comp. housing hits the runners, so right now there is a home made spacer placed between the manifold and turbo to get a rough estimate at how much room i have to play with before the turbo will hit the strut tower. Enjoy. |
where did you get that manifold and wastegate?
|
Good ol' ebay. Manifold is a greddy replica, wastegate is a 50mm hks replica.
|
hmm thats what i thought it looked like... i hope it works out for you, because if thats the usual ssac special, you might have gotten into some serious problems

It will be fine, I am getting it heat treated to prevent any cracking. The piece it self is superb looking. |
The manifold looks good, but it looks like you don't have much room between the turbo and strut tower. I hope you got some stiff motor mounts. Also might want to make a bracket or something to support that turbo if you're worried about the manifold cracking.

Looks REALLY nice in there. :thumbsup
I wish the tranny for my car wasn't so shitty. Then I could get one of those.. Mmmm... Bewst... |

Looks good!
You might want to think about welding/bolting some supports on the manifold. Especially with a turbo that big. Those have been known to crack and I dont think heat treating will add any strength. People have welded nuts to a suitable area on the headers and then used some flat bar to bolt to that and then a solid part of the car/engine. I just dont want to see your exhaust coming out from under the hood instead of the back of the car :) |
