Good Fing luck.

I paid $4200 a year on my 1992 Integra when I was 18. The only reason I got that rate was because my mom was with the same insurance company for like 16 years. But hey some people luck out.

Oliver31 05-07-2006 06:52 PM

964carrera 06-23-2006 10:40 PM

You could also try RBC Insurance. They seem to be pretty flexible re:pymts and have offered pretty low rates to a few family members here.

juniorali2003 07-07-2006 02:52 PM

ye, i think that wawanesa is one of the best insurance companies out there.
you all should check it out...

TiBZ 07-12-2006 09:20 AM

There is a company called Silverstar or something like that...they specialize in older muscle cars and modified cars....

TD Meloche Monnex is what I use...03 Tiburon and 94 Civic for a combined $190 a month...

v8mike 07-12-2006 12:03 PM

I am currently with Johnson insurance. They only accept clients with clean records, which helps with their ability to offer lower premiums. I suspend the liability portion of my coverage during the time I store my car for the winter, and as a result, I effectively pay about $75/month for comprehensive+liability on my 1994 Z28.

phatgreatwall 07-16-2006 07:40 AM

try out president's choice insurance, i got quoted by td, rbc at like 6000 a year, then PC gave me 150/month, for a 96 camaro v6, 20 yr old, just had a g liscence

JoshVK 07-17-2006 11:39 PM

Try Bell Air Direct.. good deals.. heard they are a pain about getting paperwork done. but to save 200 a month who cares?..

wacKo 07-18-2006 12:31 AM

a frend of mine was telling me that if your a student...some companies give you a discount for having good grades...i dont kno how accurate this is and i dont kno which companies..if any..lol..but he said someone from his school did it..:dunno: check into it..

JUnit24 07-20-2006 06:00 PM

TD Meloche Monnex is my insurance broker too. Dirt cheap, 216$ a month for a 94integra g2 and insured for 2.5years.
I was just an occassional under the moms van for those 2.5years but even then I was only at 80$ a month.

Fresh_Prince 07-21-2006 10:40 PM

my mom is insured with kingsway insurance and it costs between 250-300 a month for a 96 windstar. The next cheapest was rbc for $400

Prospectmx 07-23-2006 09:58 PM

Mine was $160 a month through state farm, then two minor speeding tickets later, I was up to $400 for just liabilties.

phatgreatwall 07-25-2006 10:36 PM

guys, trust me, give PC insurance a call, and they'll cut down ur premium by at least 1/2, TD quoted me 400, RBC same, PC... BAM! 150!

boy-kupal 07-27-2006 03:06 PM

Kingsway Insurance wtf?!?

I called em up awhile ago telling em I have no driving history and I'm a completely new driver.
They said I must have a driving record of some sort.
Well... Belair and Johnson gave me good quotes. :)

On side note, RBC insurance quoted me for ****ing $450!!! Thats just . :(

eddie_23 07-27-2006 04:06 PM

state farm quoted me for over 1000/month.. bell air wont insure me... rbc was was the cheapest for 745/month...

zhu 07-28-2006 12:28 AM

meloche monnex is the way to go.. they're dirt cheap

but i hear they're picky when choosing their customers

I tried calling em up and they only pick you if you are affiliated with any of their sister companies or something.

When I saw the list, its all about professionals... doctors, lawyers, graduates of York U, U of T, etc... etc.. etc...

Oh cmon. These guys have 6 digit salary and you help em save insurance?

Um... maybe its fair enough since they spend almost 6 digits to finish their education or something...

mistagrizz 08-01-2006 11:22 AM

U should check out Presidents Choice Insurance.

I was a high risk with Kingsway General and went from like $395/mo to $208 with PC. I've spoken to others who've gotten a good price too.

Baker10 06-07-2007 11:13 PM

Car Insurance Auto Insurance Other Insurance Rates online quotes for Canada United States and U.K

Saw it in the paper. The government sponsered it too...

yep i cant get a quote through their website... looks like its only for people who belong to unions or are alumni of canadian universities.... You kids who have it must have parents who belong to these associations or something.

Anyway i tested it saying i worked for Imperial Tobacco, lowest quote for my 07 fit and 88 crx was 443, which is more than belair direct quoted me, and way more than im paying right now through Harold J Mitchell Insurance (that might just be the broker, not sure). The CRX is what always kills my quotes for some reason, but my insurance company lets me have it for 150 a YEAR, liability and theft/fire only... I think its because my entire family uses the plan which totals like 9 vehicles, 2 business and a house. Total i think my parents put in like 3500 a month to insurance... my portion is about 300. Im 21 with a G2 that ive had for 3 years.

sonyto 06-09-2007 02:15 AM

Okie, I am telling you guy a trick to get cheaper inssurance

Move your address to small town, like Oshawa, windsor... farther is cheaper.

Just get an P.O box, 8$/month you will get cheaper inssurance by 20-40%.

Trust me, i did it myself, got quote for 4500$ year from TD, Nordic. but after i moved my driver liecense to far away, i am now paying 2900$ year.

try that and see if should help.

Before you move your addess, call your insurrance company, see how much would it be if you live in small town like that.

Good luck

Tinc 06-29-2007 05:14 PM

I'm also with Wawanesa. No complaints from me.

I would not advise ANYONE to do as suggested above...if you do and a claim should occur the company will simply deny coverage for the accident due to a material misrepresentation. If they do any investigating and found out you actually live in Toronto or somewhere else and are simply using a mailing address to get a lower rate then they will deny coverage and you'll end up paying the premium for nothing anyways....

Trust me, it's not a game

Yea, State Farm does atleast. When I was in highschool it was %10 off, paid a bit less than 180/month, and I drove a red civic coupe. Way cheaper than expected considering what car itis.

djtelx 08-15-2007 01:16 PM

bel air direct is a very reputable company with excellent rates, check out pc insurance too..great rates
