I got a ticket for not wearing a seat belt last night. I was just wondering if you are able to fight these tickets since I know it will probably come down to your word against the cops. Any advice?

Also, the cop also gave me a ticket for not having a valid drivers licence (HTA Sect. 32 (1) ) but it clearly states on the back of my licence that my licence expires "2007 ~ 09 ~ 05. Any ideas what the hell is up with this? I am going to go to court for this once since it seems pretty cut and dry and I have proof that I do infact have a licence.

Ok, I just went to the local cop shop and she said that my licence has been suspended for a while. I got it suspended for unpaid tickets and went and paid the fine, but they claim I didnt pay a reinstatment fee. The weird thing is they sent me a new licence in the mail and everything. Of course I cant find any reciepts for this ticket (me bign unorganized) Is there anything I can do?

Would them mailing me and giving me back my licence be a valid excuse in court? I had no idea my licence was still suspended since at the MTO they handed me back the licence that I surrendered when I paid the fines, then they mailed me a new one.

yes, be prepared.
head over to shopers and pick up the biggest containter of lube you can find. might have to be the cheap stuff tho, since aparently you can afford to pay tickets. then head over to court with your new bottle of lube, and hand it to the judge and the officer. then bend over and take it like a man. your f*cked.
you drove without a seatbelt when your license was suspended, and you still wanna put up a fight. im not even gonna insult you and waste a ban on you.

keep on postponing and pray officer wont show up, its pretty much a win for him right there, i mean its either you were wearing a seatbelt or you weren't, in this case you weren't.
