Angry Pressed to speed on hwy.....by off duty cop????

I am looking to find people (of the racer stereotype) that have been forced to drive

faster by someone tailing in a civic, then getting pulled over by a cop. Best of all is

finding out that the guy who was tailgating was an off duty police officer... if anyone

has experienced this or knows of someone who has, please msg me. This information

could be useful.

thanks

If this happens to anyone out there do the right thing slam on your brakes. So far it's worked for me you should see the look on there faces when you do that.
By any chance they are an off duty cop all you can say is see your *** in court for tailgating.

I know most of you guys out there don't want to damage your rides but cops are getting stupit and provoking young drivers to race and then have them pulled over for racing.
This happens in the states and they always find one or two young drivers willing to race for kicks.

If this happened to you, then go to court. Its against the law for a police officer(on duty or not) to make you go faster. This is called entrapment. Look it up.

Weather we have the full story or not, you still shouldnt be going faster. You have every right to switch out of the lane, so if you got a speeding ticket, its most likely your fault for speeding.

Happened to me before, it was a beat up 94ish caravan on my *** on a one lane road. I was doing 80 already in a 70 zone and the van was on my bumper. I dropped a gear and got up to about 95 just to put some space between us and an unmarked crown vic behind the van went into oncoming to get behind me and pulled me over. The two vehicles left together after I got my 20 over speeding ticket. Still paying my insurance company out my *** for that one.

I was driving on the 401 to oakville doin about 130- 140 with most of the cars in the left lane...the day started out bad in general with me getting into an arguement with my girl, and when this guy was on my ***, i did hit the brakes, but then i sped up to get away. Even tho i did that, he followed me into each lane that i chose....so after about 7 km of this guy following me in the civic, i seen an opp cruiser waiting on the top of this on-ramp and as soon as i passed, the cruiser ripped it out, came behind that civic who then pulled to the side to let the cop go behind me. thats when i knew it was over.... The cop charged me with a dangerous and and racing... he said that he was goin to be nice and not give me a ticket for speeding 160 in a posted 100 lol....and ya i know its my mistake for putting myself in that situation, but im sure most of us have done something of that nature...... Thanks for the posts.....

if a civic was pushing me on the high way I would let it pass by. IF he was following me i would exit the first exit. If buddy would follow me to a gas station etc. and presented him self as a off duty cop. I would tell him to get lost and drive away. No cruiser no uniform no badge get lost. Why you driving 160KmH anyways?

I thought that slamming on the brakes was cause for a fine under the same law that was passed last fall, along with turning left on a 'just turned green' light with no advance and traffic facing you in the other lane across the intersection

he's driving 160 because 160 is a regular speed for a competent driver to be cruising at, on the highway ... maybe i'm just biased because i live in europe , but that's how is here . if you can't drive over 110 stay the **** off the highway

If the driving tests here were a lot more strict the way they are in continental Europe, we could easily handle 160km here. Most of the people on the road here either don't have the skill for it (despite thinking they do) or their car is a piece of crap that would be scrapped in Europe for safety violations.

Those are the 2 real reasons why high speed limits won't work here at the present time.
