Should i fight this speeding ticket
#31
Fight the ticket, whether it's 10km/h over or 50km/h, every ticket you are convicted upon will increase your insurance premiums. A 10km/h over conviction will cost you no demerit points, and only a $45 fine, however the ticket will be noted as a minor conviction on your insurance record. I recieved a ticket for this and it increased my payments by $10/month which isn't so bad, but it is still $120/year.

i've decide to fight my 10km over ticket...and if i see the officer come in or is in the court room i'll either say i was just following traffic and i was targeted since i have a sporty looking car (big spoiler and kit) and/or i goto school so i wanted to just reduce the ticket price. what do u guys think

When you go to book your court date, request to meet with the prosecutor first. In doing so, you may be able to bargain with him/her and have them change the charge or drop the fine. Either way it's worth giving it a shot, if your not satisfied with the results, then proceed with the court date.
