air intake question

i just bought a cold air intake for my 96 jetta and im not sure what to do with the vacuum hose cause on the new intake there is no insert for it,so will it be ok without the hose?

I'm assuming you have the 2.slow motor. Try plugging the vacuum hose first. If that messes up the idle, just drill a hole in the bottom of the CIA, and put a vacuum connection there. Problem solved, and you don't even see the line.

do you mean the breather hose coming from the valve cover? if so... just put a little mushroom filter on it if you want... it's illegal tho... it should be recirculated into the intake tract.

I don't recall there being any vacuum lines/hoses before the TB...

I find those things pop struts in no time. They use generic spring rates and give a shitty ride.

best bang for the buck is eibach, good lowring at a cheap price.

those cheap ebay specials cost you more in the long run.......unless of course you like the ride of blown shocks.

make sure the hose goes back in place. You should tap in a fitting into the pipe and seal it with jd weld of tefalon paste to ensure no vacuum leaks. do not plug the hose.
