Alright well put it this way... your taking both worlds and clashing them together. Judges, if your at the track whats the point for you getting a number when it doesn't matter anyways? Are you going to say to someone u ran 13's on the track with no slicks? That is still being like the guy saying i ran 12's with slicks. The amount of rubber layed down at the 60 foot at the track won't be on the street, the same atmospheric conditions won't be on the street, the reaction time, and so many other variables. Anyways, there is a point where you are stuck in the cross over to slicks and high octane because they are running high horse power. To tell me you can't respect a higher horse power car over another is rediculous. To say your gonna feather the throttle because thats what a finessful driver also does not make sense. Once again you are clashing both worlds together and a fast car is a fast car in the end no matter what is done. There is no finess invovled we are not in gymnastics class! This is real men getting together making fast cars slicks or no slicks, turbo or no turbo, gutted or not gutted.

i understand what your sayig. the same hold true for a street race, at nite time the air is colder than most day time test and tune days will be, we all know just how greasy the track is if it isnt prepped. hell ive been to test and tunes and had no traction at all and then ont he street later that nite had the car biting hard out of the hole.
heres what im saying, people brag about their cars being fast and running x time, cool, then they line up against an equally matched car and get pumped by a few cars because the other car matched that cars times in street trim.
its just personal preference, all im saying is this, if your gonna brag about the times your street car ran, atleast try to do it in street trim or get a good street tire. like i mentioned before, tin canning, borrowig parts and running at the track that youotherwise wouldnt on the street is almost cheating in my books. its like me going out, running a 13.0. borrowing my buddies nitrous kit, running 11.9 and then bragging to everyone i have an 11 second car when in fact im off by over a second, see where im going with this?

The other thing missing is a 12 second time slip. What times did it run before the rebuild?

Your a joker ur not serious about the forged pistons bit are you?? Please go do some Reading into these cars and u will see u dont have to have forged pistons to run 12s. If u have the right fuel goin to the car and its not leaning out ur fine with the pistons im running. Never went to the track so i couldn't tell u. Im only guessin this is what il do im not sure. So When the car goes to get dynod And tuned. Il go to the track and send the video to you.

I'm not a joker. I used to have one of these way back in the day. I'd love to see the dyno runs of your car and track time slips.
What did your car run before the mods?

lol, Ya getrag makes a good tranmission.

The getrag isn't that fantastic. I used to have one in my old 87 shelby z. Ground gears by 150,000 kms and eventually stripped the teeth off. I heard a chromoly plate is a good investment for those transmissions to keep the gear deflection down.
What do you figure it'll dyno? It'll take a good chunk over 325 bhp to crack the 12's at stock daytona weight.
And what's all the clatter in the video? Was it built properly?
