this week's progress
Winter Plans:
6-speed, poly engine mounts, clean up engine bay and underside of car, new 3" X-pipe exhuast w/ cutouts from headers to the current 2.5" mufflers, new driveshaft, 4.10 gears, pro5.0 shifter, SPEC stage 4 clutch & flywheel, flat blacked window trim, fit 'glass hood for track time, ditch inner fenderwells, relocate battery to trunk.
That's all I can think of for now, but I should be busy until spring...
Ya gotta have the token "standing in the engine bay" shot too...

Rep Power: 684 - '94 LT1 T56, with its stock bellhousing
- 355 SBC in the pic will be back in
- LT1 clutch and hydraulics setup
- retrofit flywheel to mate to the pre-'86 block
- Fabricating a tubular crossmember
The LS1 T56s need the adapter plate, but not the older ones. The LS1 route may be cheaper in the long run though, because you can use your stock clutch, flywheel, etc if it is good. All of my 4spd stuff was basically junk so I would have had to replace it anyway.
