1st car. Help appreciated.
Ok, so its a 94' 3.4l V6 camaro, to be honest it probably isn't the most practical first car but whatever I'm ok with that. I was thinking about giving it a little more punch, its already got a new intake and full exhaust, pacesetter and flowmaster. I was thinking about picking up some aluminum heads, but i don't know. Any suggestions to get some more power without radically altering the car would be great.

you can turbo it.....but that requires the rediculas amount of money. i did get an estimate once though for 1200 for a turbo install. that was without a full motor rebuild though. yeah basically you have a driver and have to be content with a slower camaro. it's okay i did it for two years!

mileage
Its got 89,000 on the motor, and same on the tranny, I read the sticky with the aluminum heads and I'm thinking about it, but does anyone know how that would affect the reliability of the engine, and around how much it would cost?

aluminum heads on a stock 3.4 will give you about 15 horsepower for a retarded amount of money. your best bet is to save money until you can afford a stock LT1 or LS1, then mod that when you are ready. putting money into a v6 is even more stupid than putting it into an 8 cylinder. because you wont only lose all the money you put into it, but people will usually cry when the car gets above 2,500 rpm. not trying to be a dick, just telling you how it is. if you REALLY like the car and/or must keep it for a while, just toy with it a bit, maybe tint the windows, toss some wheels on it and put a stereo in it. but digging into the 3.4 is like going bird watching with stevie wonder. good luck.

Yea.. I stopped at bolt ons basically because Im waiting til I get a Z. One reason I got the exhaust I did is so I can slap it on my future Z. Either that, or Im putting an engine in.

yeah as far as performance goes its smarter and cheaper to save for a v8 but if you really want to and ahve the money you can do good things with it..i just went the looks route and made my v6 look as good as possible
