Angry LT1, Big Problem, Help Would Be Appreciated

Stats of car: 1994 Camaro Z28, Flow Master Exhaust, Edlebrock Headers, some other stuff I cant remember due to the fact I'm angry and I can only remember the obvious.

Other Stuff: I have a new distributor, new egr, new water pump, computer reflashed, new knock sensor, new ignition module (the black thing with the heat sink on the front of the drivers side valve cover), new coolent temp. sending unit, and a new MAF sensor.

The Back Story: This is a blog I posted on myspace on 6/6/06 just before I brought it the back to shop due to the fact my car was acting messed up, I originally noticed the first problem when I drove to my dads house fine (about 10 miles away), left his house about a half hour later and I realized my foot was all the way to the floor and I was doing 20mph with backfiring. (A ride that takes 10 minutes took a little longer) Anyway I got home brought it to the shop, it was the distributor.

Anyway I got my car back the 4th of June and it had to go back to the shop on the 6th.

I just took my car back from the shop today (21st) and I am trying to figure out whats wrong with it myself.

My car is unable to exceed 3000 rpms when my temp. reaches optimal running temp. (after its been ran for awhile), I can hop in it in the morning and drag it up and down the street until it warms up. When it finally warms up that problem is accompanied by other problems, like stalling(the check guages light comes on), after it stalls it doesn't want to turn over for like 15 seconds, not backfiring but more like a short buck, then the service engine light comes on.

I'm posting this blog cause it has some details that I don't feel like going through and repeating cause its just easier to copy and paste, and I apologize about all the swearing but myspace doesn't care about that.

Any help, any ideas on why its doing this I would appreciate it.

I cant figure out if its electric or a mechanical problem cause it only does it when its hot which makes me believe mechanical, but it also shows signs of electronic cause its always dead on with 3000 rpm.

BTW its not exactly 3000 rpm, and all I want is my car back.

YES! I would just love, to share with you all, what ******* happened to me yesterday.

Yesterday at work, I got to play with a **** load, of ******* rebar. If you don't know what it is, its something ******* heavy.

Yesterday, was the first time, I drove my car to work, in a ******* week and a half cause my car was in the shop cause my distributor went.

Yesterday, I discovered one of my exhaust bolts wasn't tightened enough so my ******* exhaust was bouncing off of my subframe and shaking my ******* car.

Yesterday, I brought my car back to the shop during my half hour lunch break to tighten up that bolt. It worked!

Yesterday, I left the shop, got about 50 feet away from the shop, and my car starts back firing and wouldn't go above 20, my SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light came on. I whipped my car around brought it back to the shop, they put it on the ******* computer and my computer showed 5 codes of whats wrong with my car.... BEST ******* PART ABOUT IT? ITS **** I ALREADY ******* FIXED! AKA, my distributor, my coolent temp. sending unit, my egr valve, and some other ******* thing that I cant remember because I'm pissed. They cleared the codes out of the computer, she ran fine, they said if it happened again, bring it back to them tomorrow morning. La la la, went back to work.

Yesterday, back at work, I got to play, with some more ******* heavy ****.

(5:00)Yesterday, after work, my sister calls me, and wants me to drive her, over to Albany cause its her friends 21st birthday, and my sister is 22 so we can all figure that one out. She was gonna get **** faced.

Yesterday, my wonderful favorite mother ******* cousin (not being sarcastic), McKayla, needed a ride to her friends house, okay. No problem.

(6:50)Me and Kay left her house, went to grab my sister, brought my sister to the bank, I went, and got gas (I'LL ENLIGHTEN YOU ON THE ******* GAS LATER), Me, Kay, and Cathleen, left the gas station, I got to by where my work was, I felt my car bucking, and to no ******* surprise, my ******* SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light comes ******* on. To my surprise, she stopped bucking, but the SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light stayed on.

(7:20-7:40)So, I dropped McKayla off, then, drove over to Albany, dropped my sister off. Came back over the river, went to see my dad, cause in Albany I discovered me not having a horn (I'LL ENLIGHTEN YOU ON THIS ******* LATER) in Albany, pissed me off.

(About 9:00)So my dad and I fix my horn, Mark stops by my dads cause he sees my car just as we finished, left my dads, my SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light was off. (YES!) Went out to grab some food with Mark.

(9:40-10:00) Ate food with Mark, left the place. Ok.

I get about a ******* mile away, but guess who shows their pretty ******* orange bright light ******* face? SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON! (YES!) I realize, I, am unable to get above 3000 RPM with out ******* backfiring. YES! I drove home, staring at that ******* pretty face the entire ******* way.

Went to sleep.

Woke up approx. 8:00 this morning, (About 2 hours ago), Brought it to them, they couldn't anything cause my SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light wasn't on which means no codes were active. "So I'm like, yeah, **** this" Drove her ***** *** around, she stalled on me by price chopper at that red light, guess who showed up, SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light and, their ******* red-headed step child(Red light) CHECK ******* GUAGES! Started her back up, guess what two ******* things dissapear.

I keep driving.

Get over by the YMCA in EG (The stop sign right there) My car stalls. The ******* red-headed step child (CHECK ******* GUAGES) but, not my SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light. Guess, who is being a ***** and doesn't want to start.

I got her started about 2 minutes later. (YES!)

Got to the ramp going East on I-90 by Dennys (Back towards Schodack) As I'm turning on the ramp, I get a huge ******* backfire and guess who shows their pretty face and decides to stay on. None other than my SERVICE ******* ENGINE SOON light. So, at this point I'm excited cause now the shop can do something about her ***** ***.

I bring her back there (The whole process took me about 30 minutes to get that light to come on.)

One of the guys from the shop drops me back off at the house, and now I'm hear writing this ******* great story for you.

BTW: Here are your enlightenments.

My horn, hasn't worked even before I had it, well it has, but the idiot who had it before me, couldn't figure out how to take apart the steering wheel to replace the switch. So instead he runs a wire from my horns to a ******* ghetto button he installed in my dash. So when I replaced the switch, it didn't work, cause he cut the wires for the gheto button, and the ghetto button went into one of my fuses, my HORN/CIG lighter fuse, so I had to choose between the horn (operated by ghetto switch) or my cig lighter (Charge my phone) I chose the lighter. Anyway, all we did last night was make it so the horn worked the way it was supposed too. (Steering wheel, not ghetto button.) Although I left the ghetto button, and wire (Even though it was disconected) incase I wanted to run neons (which I am considering)

As, for the gas, EVERY ******* TIME I fill my ******* tank, my car has to go back to the shop for some gay ****. Which requires them test driving and ****, BTW I don't use 87 OCTANE, I HAVE TO use 93 ******* OCTANE thanks to my ******* 10.5 to 1 combustion ratio. And when I filled it last night 93 Octane was 3.219 a ******* gallon.

I hope you all had a great 6/6/06, I really do, cause all this ******** right here, just made it impossible for me to get angry anymore.

Sorry I dont really have an imput, but your post was really ******* long.. and I think you win the most ******* use of **** and **** and ******* in a single ******* post. I enjoyed it.

first thing to do...take it to that shop and have them scan for the code that set off the SES light. it should be stored.

thats the best bet, dont throw money at a problem hoping you'll eventually fix it.

i'd guess possibly a clogged cat, unless you have an offroad y pipe...if not that check to see if maybe youre starved for fuel somehow. i mean you already took care of most electronics and ignition problem parts...try fuel.

yea, check the PCM. see what codes are getting thrown or what its seeing, that would be first thing, but even small sensors (depends on which ones of coarse to an extent) wont make it do so much weird crap as you are saying.

deff have it scanned tho.

Sorry I forgot to mention that, they used a scop to test the wiring and the distributor, but what codes trip is a Low Resolution Pulse Failure and High Resolution Pulse Failure.

The Optispark is good, the wiring is good something just messes up when the car gets hot.

swap out coils, tehy can't be tested reliably especially when it's only when hot, get a can of freeze spray and when acting up spray the module, pcm, and coils see if it changes anything (new parts can be bad)

i was gonna say just try a new coil, for cheap. also ignition module.

High and Low res failures are opti codes. If you are getting them more than likely your opti is toast or the wiring leading to the opti is bad. I have seen plugs go bad on them so its not impossible.

I'VE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH A PONTIAC ENGINE IT ENDED UP BEING THE IGNITION MODULE
