your current motor has a million parts available for it, the lt1 has some, but you run into computer issues. LS1 again computer issues. With your engine you can swap to a real perfoamnce intake system (and stay injected with no problems) a unit from f.a.s.t. or even the holley or accel are good, and the cost will be a ton less (the cost for teh swap would be more than doing a total motor build and you'll make more power in the long run since you replace the computer with a custom programed one with the intake system that tends to be half what a newer computer runs)

i say stick with the tpi and take the money u were gonna spend on the swap and put it in the car and start by fixing the problems that are known for the engine and then u have a good base to start from
