Not a huge power boost as they would lead you to believe...but it does help.
The high pressure area it talks about is because the air it scoops up from the road and tries to push it thru the radiator(s). Because it can't flow right thru it becomes a high pressure area you can pull air from into your air intake. The theory is good-
I don't have an LS1 style intake system so I can't say first hand how much of a difference it makes- wait for one of them to chime in...

You have to cut the plastics and then the CAI goes down in front of the radiator I believe and screw it in.....it's been a while since I had the one on my car. If you are doing the CAI make sure you have a lid to go with it or it's not gonna help that much with the factory one on it.
I don't know how much of a difference you'll feel in the car, because I did a whole bunch of other mods to my car at the same time that I had done that. (this was before the TT's)

horsepower tv did a dyno test with the airbox, bellows, airfilter, and the CAI and it showed a 19 hp gain i believe if you saw that episode. I think they also put an 80mm throttle body and a few more things to jazz it up.
