You definitely have a lot of miles on your existing motor, so yeah.....I'd seriously be looking into replacing or rebuilding it. But if that other motor is in good condition, it's a very good deal. IMO

On a lighter note, the comment (grey89vert) posted was simply a gesture of sympathy saying that he feels your pain. You should expect to recieve comments like that all the time, as there not meant to critisize, but rather show support. Sometimes they might not know the answer to a question, so they'll leave a small gesture of support instead.
Amen. I really have no idea what could be wrong. I thought you guys already had it figured out thats why i didn't suggest anything. Sorry ddx if you took it the wrong way

nah no worries, Im a cheap **** when it comes to money so when I spend large quantities at once it tends to turn me abit bitchy. Grrrrr:banghead: :banghead:

On another note, Im getting my friend who is a mechanic to pick up my old engine and take it to his house, put it in his garage throw a tarp over it so when ever I need something from it ill pick it clean. In the mean time after I get my car back monday I plan on upgradeing my exhaust in about a month which will include: New Headers, Hi-flo cat, Magnaflow exhaust. I WILL put in a supercharger but that will be later down the road, gonna redo/paint/upholsterate seats to the black & White scheme that I want)

lol a buddy of mine has a 2002 Dodge neon all modded up right?..well haha I just put air shocks in it, spent about $2000 on it. For some reason it just dosent look right on a neon when the car rises up and down like that, not to mention the noisy-*** compressor in the trunk..its not worth it to me.

BS

Ok I have now been with out my camaro for almost 3 weeks now. I just had an engine installed and turns out there is no oil pressure.....I figured either the bearings are bad or it could be the oil pump. The guy at the shop said he checked the bearings and they were good so never the less I now have to fork over $40 to get an oil pump and get my buddy to install it this weekend, not to mention the transmission line leak that I have...

The "Cracked head" was in my old engine, now I have a newer engine installed only now there is no oil pressure which after doing some checking its the oil pump, I recently just bought an oil pump for $49 and Ill have everything fixed this weekend. duuur:banghead:

The motor that i bought had a bent oil pan, so the mechanics put my old one on the motor. The Motor that I bought had a Bad fan sensor, so the mechanics put my old one back on. The motor that I bought Has a bad oil pump which means I have no oil pressure, So I had to buy an oil pump. Now my car is at my friends house who happens to be a mechanic and he is going to install it and fix the transmission pan gasket & seal leak that I have. While he is fixing the oil pump he is going to check out the Bearings to see if they are not damaged due to the failing oil pump. Hopefuly they are fine. Overall Im gonna end up spending roughly $2900 and my car is still screwed up and out of commission, Its been about a month now. Im gonna save up now and get a f*cking jeep cherokee after my camaro is fixed. Grrrrrr.
