we're talkin 305's not 350s. 305 is just garbage cuz the bores so small you can't fit any decent heads on it (cuz of the valve sizes).

Looks like we were originally talking about 350's to me and even if you are talking about how crappy the 305's are it doesn't change what I said- even if you start with a crap 305, swap out for 350, you can still get one just about anywhere..

my 305 just turned 191K. Never been rebuilt, but LOTS of highway miles. just started leakin oil into 3rd cylinder. piston ring most likely
